It is the fruit of a small tree that grows in Central America.
Soursop has a kidney shape and is covered with a green skin divided into fields, each of which has a spike. The length of the fruit is on average 13.78 in, weight from 6.64 lb to 13.28 lb . The flesh is snow-white and uneven, contains stretching bands of delicate tissue, with numerous seeds up to 0.79 inch long.
The aroma of Soursop is similar to pineapple, while the taste has been described as a combination of strawberry and apple with hints of sour citrus, contrasting with a thick, creamy texture reminiscent of banana.
