Mensil Max 50mg 4 tablets

Mensil Max is a drug containing the active substance – sildenafil, which belongs to the group of drugs from the group of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by helping the blood vessels in the penis relax, increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal.

Sildenafil helps to achieve an erection only if sexually stimulated beforehand.

Indications

Treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men, i.e. impotence defined as the inability to obtain or maintain a penile erection sufficient for sexual intercourse.

Dosage:

If you have previously used medicines containing 50 mg or more of sildenafil, the recommended dose is 50 mg.
Otherwise, Mensil Max at a dose of 50 mg should be used only if the patient after taking sildenafil at a dose of 25 mg did not feel the desired effect (i.e. did not get an erection sufficient for intercourse).
If use of a lower dose of sildenafil (25 mg) resulted in an erection suitable for sexual intercourse, the 50 mg dose should not be used.
Mensil Max should not be used more than once a day.
Do not take Mensil Max together with other medicines containing sildenafil.
Mensil Max should be taken about an hour before the planned sexual activity. The tablet should be crushed and chewed. If you have the impression that the effect of Mensil Max is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Mensil Max allows you to achieve an erection only when sexually stimulated. The amount of time that Mensil Max takes to work varies from person to person, but is usually between half an hour and one hour. Mensil Max may take longer to work if taken after a heavy meal.
You should contact your doctor if you do not get an erection after using Mensil Max or if the duration of the erection is not sufficient for sexual intercourse.
Mensil Max should not be used by people under 18 years of age.
Always use Mensil Max exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Contraindications

If you are allergic to sildenafil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
if you are taking nitrates, as the combination may lead to a dangerous fall in your blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines – these medicines are often used to relieve the symptoms of angina pectoris (“chest pain”). Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure;
if you are taking medicines known as nitric oxide donors (such as amyl nitrite, so-called poppers), as the combination may also lead to a dangerous fall in your blood pressure;
if you are taking riociguat. It is a medicine used to treat pulmonary hypertension (i.e. high blood pressure in the lungs) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (i.e. high pressure in the lungs caused by blood clots). PDE5 inhibitors such as MENSIL MAX have been shown to increase the blood pressure lowering effect of this drug. If you are taking riociguat or are unsure, tell your doctor;
if you have severe heart or liver disease;
if you have recently had a stroke or heart attack and if you have low blood pressure;
if you suffer from hereditary degenerative changes of the retina, such as retinitis pigmentosa;
if you have ever had loss of vision as a result of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).
